Hi, I’m Deborah Bruinsma, Family Consultant and Separation Coach
I assist individuals, couples and families to navigate the complexities of separation, divorce and family conflict. I do so with empathy, self-awareness and professionalism- whether that be as a counsellor, a Family Consultant or a Separation Coach.
Experiencing a family breakdown is an emotional and financial rollercoaster.
But speaking from the other side of feeling lost, exhausted and frustrated… I can tell you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I discovered this after my own divorce, and through my professional life – I’ve helped thousands of families find it, too.
With over 38 years of experience in social work and extensive professional experience in the Family Court system, I can tell you that no divorce looks exactly the same. I’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly, and they all come with a unique set of challenges.
But looking beyond the turmoil, I’ve also seen men and women take responsibility for their lives, become more self-aware and have healthy relationships with their children, families, friends and new partners.
Family Consulting
Family Consultants are appointed by the Court to help reach child-focussed resolutions. As a Family Consultant, I provide family assessments and other Court ordered services, that draw from my extensive experience, objectivity and compassion.
Separation and Divorce Coaching
